The purpose of this web
site is to help beat crime and possibly recover stolen plant & equipment
and prosecute persons responsible for the theft.
The
Stolen Plant and Machinery Register (Australia) fulfils the need for
a register of stolen plant and machinery.
Many
people
have had bob-cats, excavators and trucks stolen over the years,
which have never been seen since.
This sort of crime in
Queensland runs into multi millions of dollars each year and only a
very small percentage is recovered
After many months of research and
talking to the police and insurance companies, we realised that
there was no register for stolen plant and machinery - meaning if a
bob-cat or any other plant was offered for sale, there was no way to
determine if that equipment was stolen
Our aim
is to deter the theft of plant and machinery in Australia and New
Zealand and to assist with its possible recovery and
prosecution of those responsible. SPM Register is Copyrighted and
Trademarked in Australia and New Zealand.
We also have a Stolen Marine Craft
Register.

This is the process for
contributing to, or using the SMP Register:
Step 1 - Listing Stolen Plant or Machinery
Details required are:
Manufacturer, model, serial number and if possible engine number
together with owner's details, insurance company and contact
details.
This information is then placed
on a data base for stolen plant and machinery.
This data base is only available
to SPM Register.
Step 2
- Searching the SPM Register
Simply fill in the form and
send to us with your payment.
If the
numbers supplied for the search reveal that the equipment was stolen
then you will be notified and so will the authorities.

With any
data base it is only as good as the information given and SPM
Register is looking for insurance companies, brokers , finance
companies to get in contact with us to get the data base going.
At the launch of this
website, we
have a large number of
registrations already on the data base and it is growing daily. This
register is for anyone to register any stolen plant or machinery in
any industry.

if you have any plant or machinery that has been stolen.

Search Register form to have us search
our database for you and notify you if your prospective purchase is
on our list.
